MY BABY!!!!

I'm so sad! My baby girl started jr. high today :( Time goes by way too fast. I didn't even get to take her because I leave for work too early. Maybe I need a year off LOL She says the day went well and a lot of the nerves are now gone since she knows where her classes are and has friends in some of her classes. Her elective is yearbook and she's excited to create that. I hope time slows down because it's going by way faster than I want.

Where Have I Been?

I've been like this!! Tired and exhausted :) Last week was my first week back to work. I have wonderful (knock on wood) students this year, but I have a lot going on at school. After taking a year off, it is taking a little bit of adjustment to being back on a strict schedule. I am happy to be back with the kids and making $ (woo-hoo), but it is tiring. Tuesday night I passed out within 10 seconds. THursday, I fell asleep on the couch and Eric carried me to bed. I slept in until 9:30 this morning. So what am I doing this year? I am the head cheer advisor, English Dept. Co-Chair, teaching 1 9th English, 4 9th Honors English, & 1 PE Cheer (for a total of 120% teaching contract which also means 20% more pay!). Plus I still have this thing called a marriage and child to look after! So needless to say, the picture above has been me. I am happy, but EXHAUSTED!!

All Grown Up

It took everything I had to not cry when I dropped Kala off at 7th grade cheer practice this morning. She wouldn't let me walk her in :( I told her she had to give me a hug or else I'd cry really loud and embarrass her! Needless to say, I got a hug. She went with some of her friends and they came home afterward to hang out. I was informed that they don't "play" anymore-they "hang out." Don't cry don't cry don't cry!

22 Maxwells, 2 condos, 3 jet-skis, 1 houseboat, 3 nights, 4 days, 0 fish caught, numerous games played, countless laughs, 10 bottles of wine, 3 hours looking for Kent when he wandered off drunk into the woods, 2 cars dented during the trip (including mine)=Wonderful Family Vacation!!

Busy Girl

It's has been a very busy July & start to August. We had family in town for almost a month, visited my grandma, more family, a trip to my dad's condo with 22 Maxwells, and a Jonas Brothers concert last night. Busy busy! The last of the family left this am and it's back to quiet houses. I love my family, but when we get together it is non-stop chaos and noise. I'm used to it from growing up with 5 brothers & sisters. I'm putting up a bunch of random pics from all this fun!
