Lucky #194

#194 proved to be lucky! Mahkala is the newest member of the Granite Ridge 8th grade cheer squad for next year. YAY!! It was a nerve-racking afternoon, but she and her friends made it. The best part-they are using the same uniform next year so we get to save money. WOO-HOO!!!! Congrats Mahkala. We are very proud of you :)

I've learned how to take video with my phone...well Kala taught me! This is Kala with a bunch of her friends practicing for tryouts. They all look so adorable.

Here We Go Again

Tryouts for next year's cheer are this Friday. It's for 8th grade cheer. 8th grade!! Time goes by too fast.

Happiest Place on Earth!

I can't upload the video of her Disneyland Nationals because it says it's too big...any suggestions? Their routine was awesome, but they got docked for being too long so they didn't place :( I don't care. They hit all their stunts and Kala was wonderful! We went to Disneyland a few days early to play then the comp was on Sunday. We had tons of fun.

Cousin Bonding

It's been almost a month! Naughty me. This past weekend my sister, Sally, and her family came down to celebrate my niece's, Sarah, 18th birthday. 18! Holy cow that went by fast. We had cake, chocolate fountain, presents, a taco bar, 6 hours going through boxes and boxes of old slides, and dinner at our favorite tepanyaki restaurant. 3 girls decided to get piercings this weekend as well. It was a lot of fun bonding and good times! Sarah graduates this May from high school then is off to college. SHe's the first cousin to do everything so watching her get ready to go to college makes me nervous. Everyone else isn't that far behind :( She's been accepted to Colorado St, Univ. of Colo, UC Riverside, and Arizone State (ASU). THat's awesome! She hasn't picked yet, but I'm hoping for ASU or Colorado so I can go visit her out of state.

Flips, Flops, & Turns

Mahkala is on her junior high's gymnastics team. She loves gymnastics. I have no idea where she gets it from! She has improved every single week and keeps getting so much better. She's committing to compete level 4 this fall for the club team (which I competed for!). She is older than most the other girls at the club, but she's only been doing it for a year! Go Kala!

Happy New Year's!

We stayed up until 1:30 am, mostly playing the new Mario Brothers on our Wii. I am obsessed!!!
